Colgate Optic White

A must-have for the Fall (and every other season) is a set of pearly white chompers. After months of cokes, coffee and red wine, keeping your teeth white and bright can be difficult. And let’s face it, not everyone can pull off the my-teeth-arent-really-white-so-I’ll-slather-on-bright-red-lipstick look.

Colgate must know this. Their latest toothpaste is called Optic White, and it delivers.  I’ve used whitening strips, trays, GO SMiLE, and other “whitening” toothpastes but never fell in love with the results. I didn’t feel like my teeth really changed in color and I had to stop whitening my bottom teeth because it hurt so bad. Optic White is now a staple in my beauty routine because my experience is the exact opposite of that using strips, trays, and the like. I’ve been using Optic White for five weeks now and am shocked!   I bought mine at Target (of course) for less than four bucks! I’ve been back since buying my first tube and noticed they were running low, so I suggest stocking up so you never run out! Colgate does sell Optic White in a two pack---get it! So what are the positives of Colgate Optic White?
  • My teeth are noticeably whiter
  •  I haven’t experienced ANY sensitivity, which is amazing because I have the most sensitive teeth ever
  •  I feel like my mouth is super duper clean after I brush
  • It may be my imagination, but I feel like my breath stays fresh for hours
Because Optic White did such a fantastic job, I give it 5 out of 5 compacts!

Caitlin

Welcome to Deluxx Life

Hello Gorgeous!! First of all, I want to thank you for visiting DeLuxx Life! Starting a beauty blog has been something Taylor and I have wanted do to for quite some time now and we think we finally know what we’re doing, so lets get started!
On the first of every month we will post My 1st Quickie. We will review and give tips on our favorite go-to products that work wonders when we’re in a hurry to get out the door.
My 1st Quickie for October is Aquaphor Healing Ointment by Eucerin. I love, love, love this stuff! It’s the perfect product to give your lips a great sheen while making them feel luscious. It also is a quick and easy way to make your brow bone glow if you’re in a pinch---just make sure to dab after you’ve applied it to your brow, as it is somewhat sticky. Aquaphor is great for dry, cracked hands and feet. Another bonus? It's only like five bucks! Aquaphor Healing Ointment comes in four different sizes, perfect for using at home, or throwing in your purse. Eucerin even makes Aquaphor Lip Repair in a chapstick-like tube that is great for girls on the go!!!

                                                                                         xoxo Caitlin

It’s 6:25am, you’re just waking up, and must be out the door absolutely no later than 6:32. So, while you’re racing around throwing on your skirt and heels, you’re wondering what and the heck you’re going to do with your hair since there is no time for a shower. We’ve all been there (myself more then I’d care to admit), and would usually prefer an option other than throwing our hair up in a ponytail or messy bun.  This is the moment I grab John Frieda’s Volume Refresher. This dry shampoo comes in a sleek, slim, light blue aerosol can that surprisingly fits right into your purse for those unplanned moments.  It claims that it “revives volume when hair falls flat.” Here’s the kicker: it actually does volumize, rids any traces of grease, and is easily “refreshed” throughout the day with a simple tousle from your hands or an additional quick spray or two. It smells great and brushes out effortlessly, leaving little residue. While it is a product that is advertised for fine hair, I will advocate that this product works quite well for fairly thick hair like mine. Oh yes, did I mention it retails for $5.99 at Target? Even better. Now, if you are looking for a similar product as a splurge purchase, I’d highly recommend Kevin Murphy’s FRESH.HAIR, which retails for around $25-30, but is typically hard to track down here in the States outside of metropolitan areas. This product is equally amazing and provides a more “freshly washed” look as opposed to a cover-up, and definitely holds up throughout the day. I own and use both of these products, but appreciate the slimmer design of the Volume Refresher. However, if you can afford the splurge for FRESH.HAIR, I say go for it. Let me know your thoughts.

Cheers,
Taylor
